Who we are
PassPath is an online exam-preparation tool for South African licence and regulatory exams. We are the responsible party for your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
Your name and email (to create and secure your account), your study activity (diagnostic and practice results, progress, readiness), and payment records (plan, amount, access period). We never store card details; payments are handled by our payment provider.
How we use it
To run the product: build your readiness plan, unlock paid access, send you service and lifecycle messages, and improve the tool. We do not sell your personal information.
If you are under 18
South African law treats the personal information of anyone under 18 as special (POPIA sections 34 and 35). We may only handle it with the permission of a parent or guardian.
So, when you create an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older, or that a parent or guardian knows you are using PassPath and agrees to it on your behalf. If you are under 18, please show them this page first.
We collect the same information from you as from anyone else: your name and email, your study activity, and your payment records if you buy access. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell your information to anyone.
A parent or guardian can ask us at any time to show them what we hold about their child, correct it, or delete it. Email privacy@passpath.co.za from any address and we will action it, normally within 30 days. If you are under 18 and want your account gone, you can ask us yourself and we will do it.
Your POPIA rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information. To erase your account and data, use Delete my data. We aim to action requests within 30 days.
Retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active and delete it on request. Data is stored with our infrastructure providers under access controls and row-level security.
